Productivity Wheels
For the decisions that sit between you and starting. Chores, habits, tasks, and workouts, chosen for you so you can get on with them.
A productivity wheel picks what you do next so you can stop deciding and start. SpinForFun has four — chores, habits, daily tasks, and workouts. The wheel is not smarter than you about priorities; it is simply faster than deliberating over them.
Using randomness against procrastination
Procrastination is often not reluctance to work but paralysis about which work to start. When five tasks all feel equally urgent, choosing between them costs more energy than doing any one of them. Putting them on a wheel removes the choosing step entirely — you are no longer deciding, you are just doing the thing that came up.
Chores without the argument
The chores wheel works for the same reason the classroom wheel does: it takes the allocation out of anyone's hands. Housemates and families tend to argue less about a result nobody chose. Spin once per person with elimination mode on and everyone ends up with a different job.
Keep the list short
Four to six options is the sweet spot. A wheel with twenty tasks on it recreates the original problem in a more colourful form. Pick the handful that actually need doing today, spin, and do that one.
