About SpinForFun

A free wheel spinner built by one person, with no sign-up wall and no ads.

Why this exists

I kept needing a quick, fair way to pick a name or settle a decision, and every tool I found wanted an account first, buried the wheel under adverts, or locked the useful parts behind a subscription. SpinForFun is the version I wanted: open the page, type your options, spin. That is the whole product.

How the wheels work

Everything runs in your browser. Each spin draws from your browser's built-in random number generator and maps the result onto equal slices, so every option carries the same chance and no spin is influenced by the last. Your options are never sent to a server, because there is no server — the site is static files. When you share a wheel, the options travel inside the link itself.

What it will not do

These wheels are fine for games, classrooms, giveaways, and everyday choices. They are not a certified randomness source, and they are not appropriate for anything with legal, medical, or financial consequences. If a decision genuinely matters, a 50/50 tool is the wrong instrument — and if you are spinning repeatedly until you get one answer, you have already decided.
