Who writes this?

One person. Vishal builds and maintains SpinForFun, writes every page on it, and is the only person who can change anything here. There is no editorial team and no contributed content. When a page says "we", it means one person and a static site generator.

It is worth being clear about the limits of that. This site is not written by statisticians or by education researchers. Where a page explains probability, it explains a mechanism that can be checked directly — how this specific wheel converts a random draw into a winner — rather than offering expertise about probability in general. Where a page discusses classroom practice, it is describing what the tool does and what teachers report, not making pedagogical claims.

How are claims about the wheel verified?

By running it, not by describing what it was meant to do. The claim that every option has an equal chance is tested by simulating the actual selection code across large numbers of spins and applying a chi-square test to the results. That test is not kept internal — it is published at the fairness test, so you can run it yourself and get a result we cannot influence.

Claims about privacy are verifiable the same way. The assertion that options never leave your browser can be checked by opening your browser's network tab and spinning: there is no request, because there is no server to make one to.

How are claims about other products handled?

• Checked against the source. Statements about competitors come from those companies' own published pages, not from third-party roundups or from memory.
• Dated. Comparison pages carry the date they were checked, because pricing and limits in this category change often and a stale comparison is worse than none.
• Fair about where they win. Comparison pages state plainly when another tool is the better choice. A comparison that always concludes in favour of its author is advertising, and readers can tell.
• No affiliate relationships. Nothing on this site is a paid placement and no link earns a commission. There are no advertisers, so there is nothing to disclose beyond that.

What happens when something is wrong?

It gets fixed on the page rather than quietly deleted, and the last reviewed date at the foot of the page is updated. If a correction changes the substance of what a page claimed — not a typo, but a claim that was actually incorrect — the page says so rather than pretending the earlier version never existed.

If you find something wrong, the fastest way to get it fixed is to say so via the contact route on the about page. Corrections about factual accuracy are welcome and are not treated as complaints.

What this site will not do

• Claim certified randomness. The wheel is uniform and you can verify that. It is not an audited system with a certificate, and pages that need a regulated draw are told to look elsewhere.
• Pretend the tool is more than it is. A wheel is useful for decisions that are low-stakes and reversible. Several pages say directly when not to use one, because that is more useful than encouraging the habit.
• Add tracking or advertising quietly. If that ever changed, it would be stated on why it is free before it shipped, not discovered.
